QUALIFICATION:
4 years apprenticeship = extension of 3 years apprenticeship for "Model Craftsman" with focus on specific areas to train well-educated skilled workers who can also deployed as leaders with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in technical, organizational and planning domains
Completed apprenticeship in Carpentry / Joinery or comparable qualification
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Planning, manufacturing, and further development of models, prototypes, moulds, and jigs made of wood, wood-based materials, and composites
* Turning, milling, grinding, shrinking/gluing of mould and model components, and fabrication of assembly fixtures
* Creation of manufacturing drawings, parts lists, and work instructions for mould-making processes
* Coordination with design, engineering, manufacturing, and assembly to implement design ideas
* CAD/CAM support, creation of 3D models and manufacturing documents (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Cabinet Vision, Fusion 360)
* Feasibility studies, material selection, cost and schedule calculations
* Quality control, optimization of manufacturing processes, and surface finishing
* Tool maintenance, setup and upkeep of machines (e.g., milling, CNC milling, turning, edge banding)
