Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber  

Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in "Trauma Surgery" 

ACTIVITIES:
* Specialized medical care for patients with orthopaedic and trauma surgery conditions or injuries
* Acute emergency care, trauma care, and surgical treatment according to current standards
* Treatment concepts for fractures, soft tissue injuries, joint injuries, and trauma sequelae
* Planning, execution, and follow-up of surgeries as well as conservative therapies
* Participation in the interdisciplinary emergency department, rehabilitation management, and early rehabilitation
* Documentation, billing, and compliance according to applicable guidelines
* Instruction, supervision, and professional development of the medical team 
* Collaboration with other disciplines
* Participation in quality management, clinical research, or evidence-based care
* Emergency care and availability depending on the roster

skills_and_requirements
A - Practical professional experience (10+ years) in the specialist field B - Ideally, additional qualifications in emergency medicine or traumatology C - Experience with modern emergency and surgical equipment & evidence-based medicine preferred D - Sound clinical decision-making skills and treatment competence in traumatology E - Empathy, teamwork & clear communication skills F - Resilience, structured working practices, sense of responsibility G - Willingness to work collaboratively in a collegiate environment H - Willingness to work shifts & weekend services, on call / emergency care depending on the roster I - Very good written and spoken German skills; English & further language skills advantageous
