Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Education: Successfully completed degree at University / University of Applied Sciences in fields of “Spatial Planning” or “Mobility Management” - admission or application process mandatory (provider-dependent)
Key curriculum topics:
Climate Change / Electro-Mobility / Smart Cities / Mobility Systems / Energy Management 

Completed studies in Transport Science / Urban Planning / Geography or comparable qualification

ACTIVITIES:
* Creation and further development of traffic planning concepts (road and public transport planning, cycling, pedestrian guidance) taking into account traffic flow, safety, environmental, and noise factors
* Analysis of traffic data (urban and micro-window data, censuses, gap analyses, local transport indicators) and derivation of planning concepts
* Preparation of expert opinions, study reports, quantity and cost calculations, variant studies, and alternative scenarios
* Coordination with municipal clients, transport authorities, specialist planners, and citizen participation
* Modelling and simulation of traffic flows (e.g., capacity analyses, traffic safety assessments)
* Preparation of plans, sketches, layouts (e.g., bicycle streets, crossing points, stop concepts), and presentations
* Participation in the implementation of measures (feasible recommendations, construction management, funding applications)
* Conducting quality & project management, adherence to deadlines and budget specifications

skills_and_requirements
A - In-depth knowledge of transport planning methods (traffic modelling & microsimulation) B - In-depth knowledge of transport planning methods (public transport/cycling planning) C - In-depth knowledge of common software (E-Survey, ARCGIS/QGIS, VISSIM/PTV Visum, SIDRA, FZKA) D - Experience in developing concepts, reports, and funding applications E - Analytical, structured working style with problem-solving orientation F - Teamwork ability & strong communication skills G - Good written and spoken German & English skills
