Job Description

QUALIFICATION: 

 

The apprenticeship "Mechatronics Technician – Manufacturing Technology" is part of the modular apprenticeship "Mechatronics” with totally 6 main modules and 4 specialization modules

 

3.5 years apprenticeship - in combination with an additional main or special module = 4 years duration

Further main modules (optional):
Electrical Machine Technology / Alternative Drive Technology / Automation Technology / IT, Digital Systems & Network Technology / Medical Device Technology 

 

Specialization modules (optional):
Additive Manufacturing / Digital Manufacturing Technology / Robotics / PLC Technology 



Possible combination -> 4 years apprentice duration:
1 - Main Module - Automation Technology
2 - Main Module - Electrical Machine Technology
3 - Specialization Module - Additive Manufacturing
4 - Specialization Module - Digital Manufacturing Technology
5 - Specialization Module - Robotics
6 - Specialization Module - PLC Technology


Completed vocational training as Mechatronics Technician / Electronics Technician - Automation Technology, or comparable qualification


ACTIVITIES:
* Assembly, installation, and commissioning of mechatronic systems in production

* Maintenance, repair, and optimization of production equipment and processes
* Fault evaluation, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
* Programming/parameterization of drives, sensors, and control loops
* Support during the commissioning of production lines and the fine-tuning of processes

* Documentation of work processes, test reports, and acceptance reports
* Collaboration with the engineering and production teams for continuous process improvement
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

A - Sound knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering/electronics B - Sound knowledge of sensor technology, and drive technology C - Basic knowledge of PLC programming and HMI/visualization is advantageous D - Experience with diagnostic systems, measurement, and testing technology E - Ideally, knowledge of frequency converters F - Analytical thinking, structured work style, and problem-solving focus G - Independent and meticulous working style, team spirit H - Willingness to travel for on-site installation and service calls I - Flexibility & availability for occasional shift work or on-call duty J - Class B driver's license K - Very good German language skills; further language knowledge advantageous
