QUALIFICATION: 

The apprenticeship “Metal Technician – Mechanical Engineering” is part of the modular apprenticeship “Metal Technician” with totally 9 main modules and 4 specialization modules

3.5 years apprenticeship - in combination with an additional main or specialization module = 4 years duration

ACTIVITIES: 
* Planning, manufacturing, and assembly of metal components for mechanical engineering projects according to technical specifications
* Cutting, milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and other machining operations according to drawings
* Machining of components made from various materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminium)
* Assembly of modules, commissioning, and functional testing
* Creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, work plans, and test reports
* Collaboration with design, manufacturing, assembly, and QA to ensure on-time order completion
* Maintenance and care of machines, tools, and measuring instruments
