QUALIFICATION:

The apprenticeship “Metal Technician – Steel Construction Technology” is part of the modular apprenticeship “Metal Technician” with totally 9 main modules and 4 specialization  modules

3.5 years apprenticeship - in combination with an additional main or specialization module = 4 years duration

Vehicle Construction Technology / Machining Technology / Metal Construction & Sheet Metal Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Forging Technology / Safety Technology / Toolmaking Technology / Welding Technology

Specialization modules (optional):
Automation Technology / Digital Manufacturing Technology / Design Technology / Process & Project Management

Possible combinations -> 4 years apprenticeship duration:
1 - Main Module - Welding Technology
2 - Specialization Module - Design Technology

Completed vocational training as Metalworker / Locksmith / Structural Steelworker, or comparable qualification

ACTIVITIES:
* Manufacturing, processing, welding, brazing, and machining of steel components according to specifications
* Cutting, bending, welding, bolting, and final assembly of components and assemblies
* Pre-assembly, assembly, and commissioning of steel structures on-site or in the workshop
* Dimensional inspections, quality assurance, and documentation of manufacturing processes
* Maintenance, calibration, and repair of machine and welding equipment
* Collaboration with Quality Assurance, Development, Purchasing, and Assembly Departments
* Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
