QUALIFICATION:

Education - key facts:

* Training in geriatric care and nursing assistance is regulated by state laws and regulations
* Full-time: 1 year, with intensive German language training 2 years
* Part-time: maximum 2 years, with intensive German language training maximum 3 years
* Qualification title = "State-recognized General Nursing Assistant"  

Completed training as a Nursing Assistant or comparable qualification (e.g., Nursing Aide)

ACTIVITIES:
* Execution of necessary nursing tasks (e.g., personal hygiene & nutrition, mobilization techniques) 
* Independently carrying out assigned nursing tasks & prophylactic nursing measures
* Documentation of nursing care measures
* Assistance with medication intake according to instructions (without administering medication)
* Accompanying patients to therapies, appointments, and activities
* Collaboration with the whole medical team and family members 
* Adherence to hygiene standards and safety guidelines
* Maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of equipment
